The Commerce Ministry plans to promote the export of Thai organic herbs, aiming to create added value for the sector and tap into a global market worth trillions of baht annually. "We plan to promote organic Thai herbs. We should have strength in the global market because there is high demand for organic herbs, as people become more health-conscious. If we can penetrate the market, we can help increase the prices of Thai herbs," said Mrs Apiradi. CITS found the global herbs market is valued at 3.8 trillion baht a year.
